How to Play (Gameplay Guide)

1. The Core Loop

Spire Lite is a Turn-Based Deckbuilder.

• Your Turn: You start with limited Energy. Play cards to attack or defend.
• Enemy Turn: Once you click "End Turn," the enemy will perform their pre-determined action.
• The Deck: When your draw pile is empty, your discarded cards are reshuffled to form a new deck.

2. Vital Stats

• Attack (⚔️): Reduces Enemy HP. If the enemy has Block, your attack hits the Block first.
• Block (🛡️): Protects your HP from the next enemy attack. Note: Block expires at the start of your next turn, so you must rebuild it constantly!
• Energy (⚡): Each card has an Energy cost (0, 1, or 2). You cannot play a card if you don’t have enough Energy.
• Intent (👁️): Look at the icon above the enemy. It shows exactly what they plan to do next (Attack, Defend, or Buff).

3. Advanced Status Effects

• Strength (💪): Increases the damage of all your Attack cards permanently for that battle.
• Weak (📉): A weakened unit deals 25% less damage with their attacks.
• Poison (🧪): Deals damage at the start of the turn. Poison count reduces by 1 each turn but ignores all Block!

4. Pro Strategies

• Balance your Play: Don't just attack. If the Enemy Intent shows a big hit is coming, prioritize Defend cards.
• Synergy is Key: Use cards like Deadly Poison followed by Catalyst to exponentially increase damage over time.
• Map Management: Monitor your HP. If you are low, head toward a Rest (⛺) node instead of a difficult battle.
• Refine your Deck: Choose cards that work together. A smaller, focused deck is often stronger than a large, random one.
